Dipswitch Calculator

Setting a DMX address by dipswitch means adding up binary values until you land on the number you need — easy to get wrong at 2am before a show. Flip the switches below to see the address update live, or type an address directly and watch the switches set themselves.

This uses direct binary mapping — the address is simply the sum of whichever switches are on (switch 1 = value 1, switch 3 = value 4, and so on), with no offset. That's the most common convention, but a handful of fixtures do it differently, so it's worth double-checking against one known address on your actual fixture before trusting it blindly.
